Aluminum Dust Collection
Why choose a downdraft table specifically designed for aluminum dust? Aluminum dust should always be treated with care and respect. If your operations include grinding, finishing and/or polishing aluminum, chances are you’re creating dust, powder, and flakes which become suspended in the air. These particles may ignite, and if confined into a small space, could cause an explosion. If you’re working with aluminum, you’ll want a downdraft table that is specially designed for aluminum dust to eliminate the dangers of working with aluminum dust and particulate. These downdraft tables meet NFPA 484 when properly used and maintained.
Keep in mind, aluminum dust must never be mixed with other materials such as steel, other ferrous dusts on dry dust collection systems. If you’re working with multiple metals, please check out our wet downdraft systems.
